Cabbage and Beef

  • 1 head Green Cabbage Firm and fresh
  • 1 pound Ground Beef Lean
  • 1 medium Onion Finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese Shredded
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black Pepper

Cooking Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Cut the head of green cabbage into 1-inch thick slices and arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush with olive oil, season with salt and black pepper.
  • In a bowl, mix the ground beef with finely chopped onion, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper until evenly distributed.
  • Place a mound of the beef mixture on each cabbage slice, shaping into patties.
  • Bake the burgers for 15 to 20 minutes, until the beef is cooked through.
  • Spread mayonnaise and Dijon mustard over each patty, top with cheddar cheese, and return to the oven until cheese melts.
  • Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
