Broth

  • 3 cups Beef Broth
  • 2 tablespoon Beef Broth

Chicken & Vegetables

  • 4 pieces Chicken Breasts cut into small cubes
  • 8 pieces Red Potatoes scrubbed & halved
  • 2 cups Pearl Onions peeled
  • 2 pieces Parsnips quartered and sliced
  • 1.5 cups Carrots peeled & sliced into chunks
  • 1 piece Turnip wedged
  • 1 piece Bay Leaf
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Pepper

Thickening Agents

  • 3 tablespoon Flour All Purpose

Finishing Touches

  • 2 cups Peas frozen, thawed
  • 0.25 cups Parsley

Instructions
 

Cooking Procedure

  • Combine 3 cups beef broth, chicken, potatoes, onions, parsnips, carrots, turnip, bay leaf, salt, and pepper in the slow cooker on low for 10 hours or high for 6 hours.
  • Using a whisk, mix together 2 tablespoon beef broth and 3 tablespoon flour.
  • Take 4 tablespoon out of the broth from the slow cooker and whisk it into the beef and flour mixture.
  • Add the flour mixture back into the slow cooker and mix together.
  • Remove Bay Leaf.
  • Add 2 cups frozen peas and ¼ cup parsley and cook for another 30 minutes.
