Broth
- 3 cups Beef Broth
- 2 tablespoon Beef Broth
Chicken & Vegetables
- 4 pieces Chicken Breasts cut into small cubes
- 8 pieces Red Potatoes scrubbed & halved
- 2 cups Pearl Onions peeled
- 2 pieces Parsnips quartered and sliced
- 1.5 cups Carrots peeled & sliced into chunks
- 1 piece Turnip wedged
- 1 piece Bay Leaf
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 0.25 teaspoon Pepper
Thickening Agents
- 3 tablespoon Flour All Purpose
Finishing Touches
- 2 cups Peas frozen, thawed
- 0.25 cups Parsley
Cooking Procedure
Combine 3 cups beef broth, chicken, potatoes, onions, parsnips, carrots, turnip, bay leaf, salt, and pepper in the slow cooker on low for 10 hours or high for 6 hours.
Using a whisk, mix together 2 tablespoon beef broth and 3 tablespoon flour.
Take 4 tablespoon out of the broth from the slow cooker and whisk it into the beef and flour mixture.
Add the flour mixture back into the slow cooker and mix together.
Remove Bay Leaf.
Add 2 cups frozen peas and ¼ cup parsley and cook for another 30 minutes.
