Equipment

  • Slow Cooker

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • 10 cloves garlic thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 cups dry white wine or vermouth
  • 1 lemon thinly sliced

Instructions

  • Add the butter, olive oil, sliced garlic, Old Bay seasoning, white wine, and lemon slices to a 5–7 quart slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 3 hours, allowing the garlic to soften and infuse the sauce.
  • Nestle the lobster tails into the garlic butter mixture, meat side up. Spoon some of the sauce over each tail.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 45–60 minutes, until the lobster meat is opaque and tender.
  • Spoon additional garlic butter sauce over the lobster before serving.
  • Serve directly from the slow cooker set to warm, with crusty bread for dipping.

Notes

Slice the garlic instead of mincing for a mellow, sweet flavor. Avoid overcooking — lobster is done as soon as the meat turns opaque. Serve with extra lemon wedges and plenty of napkins.
